HaadThip Leads Southern Recycling Alliance in Reverse Logistics Collaboration for Bottle-to-Bottle PET Recycling In partnership with Oxytech and Royce Universal, the Alliance is laying the foundation for a scalable PET recycling solution for Southern Thailand.

Bangkok, September 11, 2025 – HaadThip Public Company Limited (HTC), the authorized bottler of Coca-Cola across 14 provinces in Southern Thailand, has announced a landmark collaboration with Oxytech Co., Ltd., a specialist in post-consumer materials collection for recycling, and Royce Universal Co., Ltd., an expert in comprehensive recycling solutions. Together, they are launching the “Southern Recycling Alliance” — a pioneering initiative that introduces a reverse logistics system to collect post-consumer PET plastic bottles and transform them into recycled PET (rPET) pellets for production of new beverage packaging. This bottle-to-bottle recycling model is the first of its kind both within the global Coca-Cola system and among beverage manufacturers in Thailand. It underscores HaadThip’s steadfast commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices by optimizing resource use and minimizing environmental impact.
A Complete Bottle-to-Bottle Recycling Process
The Southern Recycling Alliance is a tripartite collaboration advancing bottle-to-bottle PET recycling through reverse logistics. The process begins with Oxytech, which sources post-consumer PET bottles from local collectors and buyers across Southern Thailand. The bottles are carefully sorted, cleaned, and processed into PET flakes according to HaadThip’s strict specifications.
HaadThip then transports the flakes to Royce Universal’s facility in Nakhon Pathom province, where they are converted into rPET pellets. These pellets meet rigorous quality and safety standards set by both Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and The Coca-Cola Company.
Finally, HaadThip uses the rPET pellets to produce new packaging at its Punpin Plant in Surat Thani, delivering safe, high-quality, and sustainable products to consumers.
This fully integrated process demonstrates how the combined expertise of all three partners is turning post-consumer PET bottles into new beverage packaging, creating a sustainable recycling solution for Southern Thailand.

Major General Patchara Rattakul, Chief Executive Officer, HaadThip Public Company Limited, said:
“As the market’s leading force in Southern Thailand’s non-alcoholic beverages, HaadThip is committed to responsible and sustainable packaging practices. While packaging is essential for ensuring beverage quality and safety, improper disposal can create significant environmental challenges — especially in our region, surrounded by seas and islands. We have already invested over 800 million baht to revitalize our glass bottle business and continuously reduced plastic packaging and cap weight. This new alliance marks a leap forward, providing access to a robust network for collecting post-consumer PET bottles. Crucially, these bottles will be turned into rPET pellets, which will then be used to produce new packaging. This alliance helps lay the groundwork for advancing our packaging goals while contributing to reduced environmental impact across Southern Thailand.”

Dr. Seksan Udomsri, Chief Executive Officer, Oxytech Co., Ltd., commented:
“Oxytech is proud to be part of this project. For over 14 years, we have collaborated with domestic and international partners to collect and recycle post-consumer plastics, particularly in marine pollution-prone areas. Our group also runs Plastic Credit projects certified by global organizations such as Verra, including the world’s first Verra plastic project in Krabi and Trang. Our prior partnership with HaadThip and Coca-Cola on island waste management showed our shared goals clearly. Through this alliance, we can elevate post-consumer material processing to food-grade recycling while applying our globally recognized traceability system, which tracks the origins of each batch of plastic flakes. This verifiable data will support further collection and aggregation efforts across specific areas.”

Mr. Thatchawat Techamongkoljit, Group Chief Executive Officer, Royce Universal Co., Ltd., added:
“Royce Universal has long specialized in transforming post-consumer materials into durable, high-quality products, starting with construction materials such as polycarbonate roofing and surface products. We have now expanded into the rPET pellet business, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and an experienced team. Supplying HaadThip demonstrates that our rPET pellets meet Coca-Cola’s global quality standards. This collaboration is just the beginning — we see vast opportunities to recycle more post-consumer plastics, product scraps, and even marine debris from Southern Thailand. Our engineers will continue R&D to create new business opportunities while advancing environmental preservation, which aligns seamlessly with our company’s vision.”

Next Steps
In its first phase, from September 2025 to June 2026, the Southern Recycling Alliance aims to produce at least 100 tons of rPET resin from post-consumer PET bottles collected across Southern Thailand for use in HaadThip’s beverage packaging. Beyond this initial goal, the Alliance will explore additional opportunities to collect and recycle other materials through:
· Oxytech’s extensive collector and community network
· HaadThip’s efficient reverse logistics system, and
· Royce Universal’s advanced recycling technologies.
These joint efforts will enable each partner to achieve its sustainability objectives while preserving the natural beauty of Southern Thailand — a globally renowned tourist destination — for future generations.
