HatYai Hosts Vibrant Four-Region Food and Music Festival

HatYai, Thailand – The city recently wrapped up a vibrant and impressive event that captivated both locals and international visitors. The "Zaap Roi Aroi Lam" (Zaap Roi Aroi Lam) festival, a showcase of food and music from Thailand's four regions, took place on March 28-29, 2025, right in the heart of HatYai along Thammanoonvithee Street (Tham Ma Noon Vi Thee).

Organized by the HatYai City Municipality in partnership with the Professional Guide Association of Songkhla, this festival is a highlight of the annual "HatYai All-Year-Round Travel" project. The event aims to boost local tourism and invigorate the economy of HatYai, a key tourist hub in southern Thailand.

During the two-day festival, attendees indulged in a culinary journey, tasting exquisite dishes from all over Thailand. They enjoyed flavorsome northeastern or "Isaan" spicy food, delicious southern dishes, tasty northern meals, and delightful central Thai cuisine. The event offered not only a feast for the palate but also an immersion into the rich cultural tapestry of Thailand's diverse regions.

The festival "Zaap Roi Aroi Lam" was more than just about food and music; it was a platform to celebrate and promote Thailand's unique culinary culture. The event successfully elevated HatYai's status on the international tourism map, drawing attention and admiration worldwide.
