HatYai Starts Roadwork on Phetkasem Road: Drivers Advised to Proceed with Caution near Fountain Roundabout & Siam Nakarin

The Municipality of HatYai is expediting resurfacing work on Phetkasem Road, a key thoroughfare in the city. The current improvement zone stretches from the VL Hotel intersection to the Khor Hong T-junction, and now contractors have reached the section between the famous Fountain Roundabout and Siam Nakarin. The process involves removing the old, damaged road surface and laying down new asphalt, with the project being carried out in halves to minimize traffic disruptions. Motorists travelling through the affected section—especially between the Fountain Roundabout and Siam Nakarin—are strongly urged to drive with extra caution, as the road surface may be uneven across different lanes during this period.
