Warning: Dangerous Pothole Found by Songkhla Lake, Near Krok Rai Community

Songkhla: Motorists are being urged to exercise extreme caution when driving along Tinsulanonda Road, inbound to Songkhla, particularly along the lakeside section near the city forest entry and Krok Rai community. A severe pothole has been reported near the center lane, with several incidents of vehicles dropping sharply into the hole, causing near accidents.
A local resident notified reporters, recounting their recent experience of hitting the pothole. The hole measures roughly 40 cm wide and is quite deep, startling many drivers and raising safety concerns, especially at night or during heavy rains when visibility decreases.
The affected driver shared, “It was really shocking. I was just driving normally and suddenly hit the pothole—the impact was loud and harsh. Luckily, I maintained control. If it had been a motorcycle or someone driving faster, a much more serious accident could have easily occurred.”
Early inspections reveal that the pothole is large enough to damage car tires or cause loss of control. Its position close to the lane divider leaves little space for safe maneuvering, increasing the risk of swerving into oncoming traffic or collisions. Residents are urging relevant authorities to inspect and repair this hazardous section as soon as possible to prevent injuries or potential fatalities, ensuring the safety of all road users.
